Uniserve Targets 1 MW Vancouver Data Center Launch in Q4

Uniserve Communications Corp. (TSXV: COMP) is targeting the fourth quarter of 2026 for the initial launch of its new Vancouver data center as the company expands its Canadian cloud and digital-infrastructure operations.

The company said its VAN-2 facility at 369 Terminal Avenue is expected to begin operations with one megawatt of capacity. The approximately 10,000-square-foot facility will have access to another megawatt for potential future expansion.

Uniserve plans to support rack densities of up to 30 kilowatts, allowing the facility to accommodate conventional enterprise systems and more demanding workloads. VAN-2 is also being designed with redundant power and cooling, carrier-neutral network access, controlled entry and continuous monitoring.

Planned services include colocation, cloud computing, managed hosting, connectivity and disaster recovery. The company said the facility will support organizations seeking Canadian-based infrastructure for data residency, business continuity and high-performance computing requirements.

However, the fourth-quarter opening remains a target. Uniserve has not confirmed that VAN-2 has been commissioned or begun accepting customer workloads. Its update also did not disclose construction progress, capital expenditures, contracted occupancy, customer identities or expected revenue from the facility.

The company described VAN-2 as having a Tier III design, but it did not announce that the facility has received independent Tier III certification.

Uniserve is separately developing an artificial-intelligence compute business. In September, the company signed a five-year agreement to provide an unnamed enterprise customer with computing services powered by two NVIDIA B300 GPU-based servers.

Minimum payments under that agreement are expected to total approximately US$3.15 million before taxes over 60 months. Uniserve said it received an initial customer prepayment and began procuring the equipment, although the service period will not start until the system is activated.

The company has not confirmed that the B300 equipment has been delivered or activated. It also has not explicitly stated that the servers covered by the agreement will operate from VAN-2.

Uniserve’s fiscal 2026 revenue increased approximately 46% to C$10.19 million, while gross profit rose to C$4.39 million. The company remained unprofitable, recording a C$2.50 million operating loss and a C$4.70 million net loss. The net result included an impairment charge of approximately C$1.95 million.

Uniserve provides cloud, connectivity, cybersecurity and managed IT services to Canadian businesses. Its expansion into high-density data-center infrastructure and GPU computing represents an effort to serve customers with increasingly demanding computing and data-residency requirements.

Upcoming Catalysts

The principal near-term milestone is the targeted commissioning of VAN-2 during Q4 2026. Investors may watch for confirmation that the facility is operational, its initial customer deployments and additional information about occupancy, capital costs and expansion timing.

Other potential developments include delivery and activation of the NVIDIA B300 servers, recognition of revenue from the five-year compute-services agreement and further customer contracts. Uniserve also intends to begin quarterly CEO town halls, although it has not announced the first event date.
